A Marshal is as important to motor sport as the competitor, perhaps more so. Without organisers and marshals none of the events that so many enjoy could run. Also not everyone finds their interest in the sport confined to being behind a steering wheel, or the Navigators seat. Therefore, the club actively supports and encourages the interests of those who wish to get involved in the organisation, or marshalling of events.

New members are given plenty of opportunities to help out with our own events and for those who wish to travel a little further a field there are invitations we receive to help neighbouring clubs. This includes assistance on events in Regional Championships and such major events as the  Wyedean, Sunseeker and Wales Rally GB.

Marshalling is a job more skilled than many realise and the MSA now runs a licensing scheme for Marshals, with grading plans that take you via various training courses from the very basic level right up to advanced levels such as Radio Operators, Time Keepers, Chief Safety Officers, Scrutineers, Stage Commanders, and Clerks of Course.

Our Chief Marshal is always willing to hear from people interested in the organisation and marshalling side of motorsport and can provide additional information on what it takes to get involved.
